We are sitting on needles and pins...living "a day at a time," as we sit and watch our dear little Taylor hoping and wishing that her kidnys will start to work. Today we sat down with the kidney doctor to discuss what is going to happen. Things aren't looking that good! As I listen to the questions and concerns going around the room, dreading to hear the answers. What can you do if her kidneys dont start to kick in? "Taylor is not a canidate for a dialysis treatment" the doc says. "Beacuse she is so small and because of her omphalecelle, we cannot give her a dialysis treatment. " siad doc. "So how many days are we looking at untill we really start getting into trouble?" "Most babies kidneys start to kick in within 7-10 days, so we are really going to be worried if she doesn't start urinating more within 3-5 days." Right now things are racing through my brain...is she going to make it???? as the tears fill my eyes. After we are done with the meeting Cammon immediately called Carid (Cammon's brother) and Reed to come down and give her a blessing. Also Cammon gave her a father's blessing. (Please put Baby Taylor in your prayers)
Yesterday I got to change Taylor's diaper, check her temperature, change her probe light(Rudolf foot), and clean her mouth out. I thought I would never be so happy to change her diaper :)
1 week and 1 day old:
Taylor has gone pee more today. They have put her under some lights to help some of the fludis to come out through her pores. The lights seem to be helping. Taylor has had a good day today!
Taylor has had 5 blood transfusions so far. She had 3 doses the day after she was born beacuse of how low her blood was from not getting any at birth.

My prayers are with you, and I know our Heavenly Father loves you..keep turning to him for his comfort. Keep smiling, talking, & touching that precious little baby! Love you bunches....Rex
